Welcome Spring. Currently

I'm thrilled to have this beautiful weather around!  We welcomed spring with clear skies and weather in the upper 60s. I was able to open all windows and let in some fresh air. - Ah, refreshing.  Currently- - Finishing up this week's lessons with my oldest daughter. Reading, math, shapes, and the letter G. She's doing great and we're so proud of her. -My husband and oldest daughter have been working on a few science labs for his chemistry class.  -Picking out new paint colors and decorations for the girl's bathroom. I'm kind of in the mood for repainting and sprucing this space up.  -Taking down our St. Patrick's day decorations. Our oldest made a few shamrocks using- water paint, coloring pencils, and glitter.  -Enjoying our trips back to the library. I hadn't been going for some time. We eventually made our way back this week and our daughter met a few new friends. She's so excited about her n...

The beautiful outdoors.

“Is the spring coming?" he said. "What is it like?"... "It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine...”  ―  Frances Hodgson Burnett ,  The Secret Garden This week- the weather was beautiful. The sun was out and it was definitely time to plan a trip outdoors. Just us, together. The air was fresh and my thoughts were clear.- It was beautiful. We took a long nature walk and explored. We talked about woodpeckers, frogs, ducks and much more. Now that the weather is nicer out, the park is filled with kids running, playing and jumping.- Clearly they're  filled with excitement. I think I needed this long nature walk.  Just us, fresh air and time to clear my thoughts. I feel rejuvenated and ready to embrace this warmer weather.

There will be days..

There are times when you feel like nothing is going right and you're just not yourself. But even in those moments, you manage to put on a smile and keep moving forward. You might feel exhausted, unwell, perplexed, or powerless, but you persevere. Unfortunately, we recently received the devastating news that our wonderful friend passed away at the young age of 31. It was a tragic event and I cannot express the emotions that I felt upon hearing the news. We shared wonderful memories together and the last time we spoke was shortly after the birth of our second daughter in September 2015. Despite the grief, I try to focus on the wonderful moments we share. She was a kind-hearted person, an amazing mother to three wonderful boys, and always ready to lend a helping hand. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to know such a wonderful person. There will be times when life seems to make no sense, but eventually, acceptance of its unpredictability sets in. I am extremely grateful for ...

Maybe

Maybe we should... Dream more. Love more. Be more available to our loved ones.   Smile often. - Smiles truly are beautiful.  Meet a friend for lunch.- Remember before computers and cell phones.. people actually met up. Capture the littlest moments. - Those always turn out to be the biggest!  Be more appreciative. Build each other up. Make room for improvements Be more positive. -Believe in yourself more! It's amazing what we are capable of when we believe in ourselves. Try something new. - We're never too old and it's never too late to try something new. -Go for it! Walk away from toxic relationships. - Seriously if you're trying to live a positive life. You really have to let go of those toxic relationships. Embrace each moment, take it all in, and experience it to the fullest.  Just breathe.

This week.

This week: -The sun was shining. It was beautiful out. I think this may be the last week that I am able to enjoy my valentine's flowers. I've been giving them as much sunlight as possible.  -This week we worked on lessons with our oldest daughter. She's currently counting to one hundred and writing her own name. She's been writing her name for some time now. But what amazes us now is that she does it without us helping her. -I swear I tell her to slow down and stop growing. Our littlest one is now 5 months. She's rolling all over the place! -We took a trip to our local library. We checked out a few books and attended a few events. We're currently listening to the audiobook-  Caps for sale.   -I purchased a new nail color a week or so ago. When I have some time to myself; soaking my feet and painting my nails is something I enjoy doing.  - I took a week off from working out. Truthfully, my motivation and all my willingness had gone away. I...

Sweet snowy adventure.

Just when we were enjoying some warmer weather... It decided to snow. And I must admit... It was beautiful out. We headed out to one of our favorite parks and  enjoyed a little time playing in the snow. Just us, some snow, and a sweet snowy adventure outdoors. - It truly was a beautiful day. **Hello and welcome new readers! So happy to have you here. Hello sunny days.

Fresh air, cool breeze, and smiling faces. This past weekend the weather was absolutely beautiful. We took a little family trip to the park. The sky was clear, the sun was out and our daughter enjoyed her time skating. We played at the playground.- Running, jumping, laughing and just enjoying our time together.  We ended our time at the park with a long family walk. - I'm looking forward to warmer days!
