DIY (Craft storage bin)

I could always use more storage for my craft supplies, so I decided to reuse my windowsill herb box. Since it was no longer in use. I figured hey why not use this for extra storage for my stamps and other card supplies. For this project all I used was the herb box, white paint, stamps, washi tape, glue and three clear plastic cups along with craft paper. I started off with painting my box. Allow it to dry for a few. Once that is done take some craft paper and line both the front and the back of the box. To make sure it stays in place make sure to apply enough glue. Next step decorate your box! I used a few stamps and washi tape to line the inside of my box. Last step taking three clear plastic cups line them up in your box and add your supplies.

It's been a great day!

Today has been a great day, and for that I am once again thankful. Time spent with my family is such a blessing. Today I enjoyed setting up a baking station for my sweet little one. We set out some play cookies, cake slices, and other pastries. It was so much fun. My daughter even invited our pug to join in. (He slept through the whole thing)     We spent some time on ABC mouse.com, reading, singing, and enjoying a few other learning activities. We have been going over the days of the week, and I've been very impressed with how quickly our daughter learns new things. (Gosh they grow so fast)     This evening, we enjoyed our time out in the yard. The weather has been wonderful. I've noticed lately I've been really enjoying nights out on our back porch. I could definitely get used to this kind of weather. (It reminds me of the summer days I spent back in Arizona) I grew up in Arizona, and I find myself missing it from time to

It's finally finished...

My husband and I finally finished making our daughters art easel. We were wanting to finish it in April, but that didn't happen. We ended up making a few adjustments with this project. I painted the easel a light purple, and the tray was painted a light pink. Since finishing it our daughter has enjoyed playing with her alphabet magnets, and writing with her chalk. My husband added an area on the easel where our daughter can paint, and scribble with her coloring pencils. I'm so happy its all done, and ready for her to use.

Weekend love-time with my loves.

Our weekend was spent outdoors. We went on a nice family walk and sat out and enjoyed the nice weather. Our daughter enjoyed splashing around in her little pool. I was excited to see a few of my flowers started blooming in my front flowerbed.  While out shopping I came across some cute hello kitty stamps for kids. Of course I ended up buying them, and our little one had such a fun time with her stamps. Over the weekend my husband made us some delicious strawberry pancakes. We topped them with some triple berry syrup. (Boy they were yummy) I knew I would have to kick some serious butt with my next workout. :)  Over the weekend my husband also made us a berry non-alcoholic drink, which was wonderful. We ended up sitting out in the back, allowing our daughter  to enjoy her bubble machine. It was a lovely weekend spent with my loves.

These days...

These days we are up to a whole lot of fun stuff! :) The temps have stayed steady in the mid 80's and so we have been spending a lot of our time outdoors. My daughter and I enjoy sitting out on the back deck in the evenings when there's a nice breeze. Today I took my daughter to story time, and after we enjoyed a nice lunch with daddy. We just recently bought a complete learning system for preschoolers. Our daughter just turned two in April, we just figured we can get a head start on a few things with her. :) I've been enjoying some card making, and working on a few other projects. I'm hoping to soon open my online shop. Yesterday I was able to enjoy some of my Korean Barley tea, which by the way I love! Korean restaurants normally serve a cup of this tea while you wait for them to complete your order. I actually ordered a box of this barley tea from amazon. Dongsuh-Roasted Barley tea bags .  My mom used t

Weekend love~♥

This weekend we enjoyed some lovely sunny weather. We did some yard work, and I continued to work on planting a few more vegetables. This weekend my husband and I also had fun dealing with a grumpy toddler. Our daughter has officially started throwing her diva tantrums! (Oh boy) :) Today it rained and so we stayed in and enjoyed some family time. We may still go on a hike, but that all depends on the weather. I hope you all had a lovely weekend as well.         {This weekend I made us a delicious sweet snack, pretzels dipped in white chocolate-my oh my, they were yummy.}   {Cleaning out the garage, I was able to find my pretty butterfly pot} {My husband made us pizza, and normally our daughter loves it, but this time she was way too grumpy to enjoy }     {I enjoyed some quiet time and read through my crafting magazine}   {The mountains were beautiful off in the distance} I love this time of year.

Warmer weather..

It's beautiful out today. The sun is shining, there's a nice breeze in the air, and the little birds are chirping. :) I took our daughter out for toddler time this morning at the library, she seemed to enjoy it . They sang, they danced, and read books. I've been sorting through my nail polish case, and I'm currently wearing -Essie- Scarlett O' hara. Such a lovely red.       Our pug loves to sit out on the back porch and soak up the sun.     Warm weather for our daughter=Splashing away in her kiddie pool       We love going to the zoo, and visiting with the animals. Our daughter loves it!       Now that it's warmer out, we enjoy sitting out. My husband loves to grill. And who could forget about the bubbles. Our daughter loves bubbles! How do you enjoy the nice warm weather?

Tea party-Diy paper tea bags

I absolutely love creating things. Today my daughter and I had a lovely tea party. We had some tea, pastries, cake and cookies. Sometimes I sneak in some real treats during our play tea party. She loves it! Today I decided to create some paper tea bags for her tea party. Materials needed: craft paper stapler yarn washi tape/optional stamps Glue shape puncher/heart shape Tea Bags -Start off by tracing out your tea bags.  Using paint, create the colors you want for your tea bags.  Once they are dry you can now stamp on your tea bags.  Using your stapler add a few staples leaving only an opening on the top  portion of your tea bag. Once that is all finished insert your yarn. Staple the yarn from the inside of the tea bag. Tea Tags -Using craft paper, staple to end of yarn.  Using hearts or whatever shape you have glue them to the tag. You can also use washi tape like I did. Enjoy!
