Love, happiness, and joy- Embracing this life.

My Journey through love, happiness, and joy...

May your days be filled with love. Great love; that inspires you, moves you and lifts you up.
May your days be filled with happiness. Happiness is so deep; one which radiates light onto others. And brings you to your happy place.
Let us enjoy, and embrace these simple moments in our lives. May we be inspired and inspire others. May our lips speak positive words...
May our hearts be filled with joy. Learn to love, and embrace this life. I'm learning each day; embracing this life, loving those around me, and finding happiness in the littlest things. I'm happiest when I am surrounded by the ones I love.

Childhood
I often find myself looking back on my childhood.-Outside-running, skipping, and skating. Just having a good time. I had a best friend, and it seemed as though it was hard to tear us apart. We laughed, shared secrets, and giggled at boys.-Oh the memories! I had a portable radio. We would take it to the front yard and sing along to songs as we lay in the grass. My mom was usually out watering her flowers. And oftentimes, she would giggle at us singing our favorite songs.-I was young, vibrant, and just happy!

I remember my mom always cooking. Our home always smelled amazing, and my friends and I would run in from playing outside. We couldn't wait to eat. We washed our hands as quickly as possible and made our way to the table. -It was always nice sitting around the table, eating a delicious home-cooked meal. -This was my happy place.

Meeting my husband
I met my husband; we were at a briefing. A briefing for soldiers who were deploying. I noticed a shy, handsome, quiet guy across the way. We never spoke that night. We did eventually talk a few days later. Our first date fell on my birthday; he was such a gentleman. I just knew I'd fall in love with him. And sure enough, we did. -This was a great love, one I truly believed in.

A Challenging time
We prayed that God would eventually bless us with a little one. We tried for 6 years to have our little one. After being diagnosed with Endometriosis; I felt somewhat relieved. We were sent away by several doctors. I remember when I was diagnosed I cried for a few, but honestly, I just felt so relieved. Just knowing that I could have surgery to remove those cysts which had invaded and even blocked my tubes.-I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. I eventually had surgery and later my husband deployed.

During his deployment, I was on medication to help reduce the chances of the Endometriosis from growing back. He later returned in June 2010. I had stopped all medication a few months prior.  August rolled around, and I was pregnant. I don't think I've ever cried so much in life. I was filled with great love, joy, and pure happiness. We eventually confirmed the pregnancy at the clinic. Once it was all confirmed, we held each other for a long time. -This was definitely a time I felt great love; which moved me and lifted us up.

A beautiful blessing
And we were blessed with a beautiful gift. The birth of our daughter. It was beautiful and breathtaking. She was born on April 7, 2011. I remember the midwife reaching out, and handing me this beautiful, little baby. I held her in my arms; I  felt great love. I was at peace. I swear my heart fluttered the moment I kissed her little head. Our little one was here and we were blessed. -We felt an abundance of love, happiness, and joy.

It has been a beautiful journey.

**Hello to all my readers. I hope you all enjoy this journey embracing life's little moments one day at a time. I appreciate all of YOU.

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...

Keeping Blogging Positive: The Do’s and Don’ts of Community Support

The Do’s and Don’ts in a Blogging Community If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of blogging, it’s that the community can be one of the best parts of the whole experience — when we’re actually supporting each other. Blogging isn’t just hitting publish and hoping someone reads it. It’s connecting, showing up for one another, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to share their voice. But let’s be honest: not every corner of the blogging world feels that way. Sometimes people forget that behind every blog is a real person doing their best. So I wanted to put together a simple, down‑to‑earth list of do’s and don’ts — the things that genuinely help build a positive blogging community, and the things that… well, don’t. Nothing complicated, nothing dramatic. Just the kind of common‑sense, supportive habits that make blogging more enjoyable for all of us. The Do’s: How We Can Lift Each Other Up Do show support in ways that feel natural to you Support doesn’t have to b...

How to Transform Glass Garlic Jars into Multi-Functional Pin Cushions with Storage

Transform your glass garlic jars into multi-functional pin cushions with storage by following this creative and practical DIY tutorial. You will learn how to repurpose these jars into stylish and useful organization tools for sewing or crafting supplies. Hello everyone! A while ago, I purchased some pin cushions from my local Dollar Tree and stored them away, completely forgetting about them. Today, while cleaning, I came across them and decided to use them with my glass garlic jars. I thought the glass garlic jars would be wonderful for creating multi-functional pin cushion storage jars. Materials Three pin cushions Glass jars (I'm reusing my garlic jars) Mod Podge Paintbrush Acrylic paint Sewing and craft accessories to add to each glass jar Adding Mod Podge and Paint to jars To give my jars a stained glass appearance, I combined my Mod Podge and paint. I used a paintbrush to add a thin layer of the mixture and then used a drying tool to dry the paint. I repeated this process for...
