When spring finally arrives.

With warmer temps around the corner, I can't help but feel happy and prepare things around here for spring.

Each day our daughter has been keeping track of the weather. Today it's going to be around 60 degrees.

Pinterest has so many great ideas for cleaning. I started on this lemon/vinegar garbage disposal cleaner. Just add lemon peels, it asked for water.-I added vinegar instead. (So that it will disinfect the blades.) The lemon leaves a clean citrus smell.

I've been reading through a few books. -Preparing our garden, planning for an outdoor kitchen, and looking over a few baby room designs.

I started setting aside some spring hair clips for my daughter. Honestly, she takes them out of her hair when I'm not looking. Just going through her collection made me smile. I'm just so ready for the arrival of spring.

I started going through a few purses. And this one is one of my favorites around springtime. It's light and provides a lot of space. Inside are many pockets- allowing me to pack away a few things for my daughter.

Springtime -Lovely light scents. I have a collection of sprays and I went through and threw a few out. I figured I had them long enough. I spray just a little, just enough to give me a light sweet scent.

I've gone through my jewelry, setting aside a few I'll wear this spring.

Nail color- I'll keep it simple. Around spring, I enjoy pink...light colors. Sometimes I do go dark. It all just depends.

I've been enjoying my green tea face scrub. It's light and has a very light scent. I use it before bed. After I apply some night cream. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I swear everyone told me I was glowing..even after I had her. During this pregnancy, my skin has been smooth, and I'm hoping it continues to stay this way. I'm sure my night routine has helped.

I came across the lantern I made last year and I can't wait to use it during nights on the back porch. The lighting was perfect for when we would enjoy our dinner outdoors.

I'm ready for spring. I'm actually over winter.
I think I've seen enough snow for now. I'm ready for nights out on the porch, blooming flowers, outdoor play dates, and much more! Lately, I've been eating so much fruit. I picked up some grapes, watermelon, and honeydew. -I combine them all in a bowl and just sit and enjoy. It's a very happy time for me, lol.
How are you preparing for spring?
I hope you all are having a lovely week.

Welcome new readers. I'm so happy to have you here.:)

    1. Angela, thank you. As of right now I am teamed up with my husband. We are just beginning and have had some success with it. I'm starting small, but if you would like I could direct you to the website I am using for my site. It's fairly easy to set up. I'm hoping once I build my website I can branch out, and make it even bigger.

Colorful Summer Flower: Recycled Paper Towel DIY

Looking to bring a little sunshine into your space without visiting the craft store? This whimsical summer flower decoration makes great use of what you already have—think beads, pom poms, a humble paper towel tube, and a splash of acrylic paint. Bonus: it’s the perfect way to reuse an old frame and welcome summer in style! What You’ll Need: 1 paper towel tube (emptied, of course!) Acrylic paint (I chose a deeper pink) Craft pom poms (yellow makes a great center!) Assorted beads (medium for the stem, smaller for embellishing the petals) Foam letters (for your summer message) A reused frame (square or any shape of your choice) Scissors Hot glue gun Creating your summer flower decoration Cut the Tube and Shape the Petals :  Start by cutting the paper towel tube into four evenly-sized sections. Each section will serve as a petal. You should be left with four rings. Next, flatten each ring, then gently reshape it to form soft ovals. These will mimic delicate flower...

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...

This party provides a platform for sharing inspiring content such as recipes, family-friendly blog posts, crafts, home decor, and other uplifting  ideas. Hello everyone! I hope all is well. If you celebrated Mother's Day, I hope it was lovely. How was your week?  Our week was busy.  We had doctor appointments, finals at school, and my husband has been working on a backyard project.  I've included a collage of our week.  My youngest used my phone camera to take pictures of our blooming clematis vines—one is purple, and the other is deep pink.  My husband received a guitar from his boss at work. He now has this one along with his bass guitar.  I've only seen one hummingbird at our feeders. They're so quick; there may be more.  I've been enjoying my time out on the back covered porch. I added a few new outdoor curtains to the space.  My youngest and my husband made me homemade apple bread on...
