Lately.

Rain visits us during the day. Nights are cooler and the sun shines perfectly. 
We spend our time out on the porch.- Our daughter blowing bubbles and splashing away in her pool.
My husband grills and I kick my feet up and enjoy these moments with my family. 

Lately.

Nature is absolutely beautiful. Rainbows appear after the rain and fields of flowers blow gently in the wind. Normally you can go on long drives and see nothing but sunflowers lining the side of the roads. -It's beautiful. 

Lately.

I'm nearing the end of this pregnancy.- 38 weeks next week.  I'm nesting, adjusting, and experiencing sleepless nights.  I've been experiencing contractions. Lots of contractions.  I usually sit them out, swaying my hips while sitting on my exercise ball. This is the time that our daughter prepares a special meal (play food) and feeds me. Mama needs all the energy she can get! She's very thoughtful.  We have spent our time going over reading lessons with our daughter. She's making such great progress. -We're so proud at how quickly she is learning.  We take trips to our local library. -Children singing and dancing.-It feels my heart with such joy. Our daughter enjoys picking out a few books of her own. -It makes her feel all grown up. 

Lately. 

Life has treated us well. I'm thankful for each new day. 
I'm ready for all new things and endless possibilities.  :)

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy.   Looking to bring a little sunshine into your space without visiting the craft store? This whimsical summer flower decoration makes great use of what you already have—think beads, pom poms, a humble paper towel tube, and a splash of acrylic paint. Bonus: it’s the perfect way to reuse an old frame and welcome summer in style! What You’ll Need: 1 paper towel tube (emptied, of course!) Acrylic paint (I chose a deeper pink) Craft pom poms (yellow makes a great center!) While I'm at it, how's the weather where you are?
