Currently reading.-A list of books to help kids welcome Spring

I have updated this post to reflect the changes that have happened since I last wrote it. My daughters have grown older and are now reading chapter books, as well as exploring new music. However, I still cherish the memories of visiting the library with them and the excitement they would show when we checked out new books. Even though their interests have changed, they still get excited about reading new books.

I have compiled a list of the Spring-themed books we borrowed, along with a brief description of each book. Enjoy!

1. Abracadabra It's Spring
This book is filled with beautiful, and colorful art to get you ready for Spring. With Spring just around the corner, there's magic in the air, and so much to explore on every page.

2. Hello Spring

This book is filled with beautiful photographs that keep kids engaged. There are photos of nature, kids playing, insects, and much more. I thought it was a great book to help kids celebrate the arrival of Spring.

4. Spring Hare

This book is all about kids using their imagination. There are no words in this book, just beautiful, colorful art. It is a celebration of Spring and Friendship.

5. It's Springtime, Mr. Squirrel!

We sure did laugh a lot while reading this book. It was very entertaining. In this book, Mr. Squirrel decides to help the hedgehog after he has seen a lady hedgehog. Mr. Squirrel takes the hedgehog on an adventure so that he can gain fame and glory.

6. Spring according to Humphrey

This chapter book is about an adorable class pet named Humphrey.  My oldest daughter hasn't finished this book just yet, but so far she says it's been a wonderful read.

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...
