At Peace.- 5 Activities for stress relief

Here are five effective ways to relieve stress:

1. Start an indoor garden:

Try cultivating different types of succulent plants as they are relatively easy to care for. You can also grow herbs indoors in pots and place them on your windowsill. Exposing them to sunlight, watering them, and observing their growth can promote inner peace and reduce stress.

2. Explore an adult coloring book:

Coloring can be an excellent way to relax. Find a cozy and quiet spot, and spend 15-20 minutes coloring a page from your book.

3. Discover a new podcast:

Find a podcast that interests you and listen to it while enjoying your morning coffee/tea. It can be a wonderful way to start your day feeling refreshed.

4. Take a breathing session:

Guided breathing sessions are available on smartwatches/fitness trackers, but you can also do them on your own. Find a serene spot, calming music, and maybe even a guided meditation video. Take a few minutes and be mindful of your surroundings, and allow yourself to feel at peace.

5. Get moving:

Get up and start moving! Whether you stretch or go for a walk, simple movements or heart-pumping exercises will definitely boost your mood and relieve stress.

Remember to reconnect with things that make you happy and bring you joy. If there is something that used to make you happy but you haven't done it in a while, try it out again. Seek to find deeper meaning and significance rather than living on the surface.

Please share in the comments below what activities you do to relieve stress.

  1. My biggest stress relief is exercise and I actually combine the podcast aspect during my workout. I enjoy music a ton but for some reason I enjoy listening to podcasts when I’m working out. One of my good friends gave me an adult coloring book and it has provided hours of enjoyment and relaxation. Anything where I can see a finished outcome seems to relax me. Breathing and meditation are also something I’ve begun to work into my day the past year especially being stuck inside so much.

  5. I have really discovered the joy of podcasts this year. That wasn't something that I really gave a second thought to before 2020, but now I find that I have them playing all the time - doing mindless work related to my blog, folding laundry, grooming the pets or just sitting around and listening to the latest info from my favourite podcasters.

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...
