Our weekend. Snapshots

Christmas light show at one of the local churches... They put on this light show every year.  It's beautiful, and I'm sure setting these lights up is very time-consuming for them. We also enjoyed the lights in the neighborhood... So what happens when you forget you have eggs in the refrigerator, and you go out and buy a new carton of eggs? Well..you bake of course.  Weekend baking- chocolate chip/banana muffins.. Gingerbread people pancakes. My husband made this one morning, and our daughter loved them.  Lately...my husband has has enjoyed making our coffee using our french press.  During our walks, we greet a few horses. Our daughter loves saying hello. This day-the horse hid, and turned away when I tried taking their picture. And finally....the snow is melting. We made our way to the playground. The sun was shining, and it was absolutely beautiful out.

Simple Things.- The week

Our week has been simple, and peaceful. Around this time of the year, everything seems so hectic and rushed. I vowed that we would not fall into the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.  This week we enjoyed a few simple things that bring me so much joy. We made a peppermint ice cream cake-perfect for this time of year. I've been burning my sweet sugar cookie candle. I'm sure my husband is tired of asking me if I'm baking when he enters our home. I swear this candle smells amazing. I enjoyed the mornings spent with our little one. We've been reading through a collection of illustrated poems for children. She enjoys the illustrations, just as much as I do. We spend our time working on activities; activities that involve learning colors, shapes, and counting. I try to make it as fun as possible. While in the kitchen, our daughter enjoys washing her play plates and cups. Splashing, and making bubbles-it's always such a fun ti...
