When spring finally arrives.

With warmer temps around the corner, I can't help but feel happy and prepare things around here for spring. Each day our daughter has been keeping track of the weather. Today it's going to be around 60 degrees.  Diy Weather Chart Pinterest has so many great ideas for cleaning. I started on this lemon/vinegar garbage disposal cleaner. Just add lemon peels, it asked for water.-I added vinegar instead. (So that it will disinfect the blades.) The lemon leaves a clean citrus smell.  I've been reading through a few books. -Preparing our garden, planning for an outdoor kitchen, and looking over a few baby room designs. I started setting aside some spring hair clips for my daughter. Honestly, she takes them out of her hair when I'm not looking. Just going through her collection made me smile. I'm just so ready for the arrival of spring. I started going through a few purses. And this one is one of my favorites around springtime. It...

March

March 2, 2014- Welcome, and yes that's snow.  Preparing cranberry lemon loaf. Baking, peach cobbler. On the first day of March, fog filled the sky as flurries came down. -It was a cold day.  We bundled up hats, scarves, coats, and mittens. We ran a few errands around town.-Grocery shopping, tire shop, and a quick coffee run at Starbucks. Cold, but indeed a lovely day spent with my family. It's hard to believe that it is already March. I’m ready for spring.-Gardening, farmer's market strolls in the park, and so much more to enjoy with my family. I've started planning my garden for this year. I'll keep it simple. Some herbs, tomatoes, peppers, chives, maybe I'll add in a few plants I didn't grow last year.  I'm hoping that my front flowerbed will be just as colorful as last year. -It brought many hummingbirds, and bumble bees over for a visit. At the end of February, I had my second doctor's visi...

Morning love.

Every morning is a beautiful morning. ~Terri Guillemets Morning...I've managed to climb out of bed. I'm still a little groggy. It seems as though a hot shower hasn't helped much. -I mean it did warm me up, and maybe even relax me a little. But of course, I'm still groggy. I'm reminded that I need to quickly wake my mind, and get my body moving. -There's a little person (toddler) living in this home, and I'm sure she won't like it if mom stays in bed all day. (Sometimes I wish I could). But for me, that's nearly impossible, and I'm always on the go. So I'm up, I've opened curtains, made beds, and prepared a light breakfast. I've spent my time preparing breakfast and going over the alphabet and numbers with my little love. We sit..I'm finally feeling refreshed, and content. We enjoy our breakfast, and I'm amazed at how much my little one has learned. She's going onto three, and yes she's still my little one. She ...

Happy Friday.

Hooray, it's Friday! -And we're having a lovely day. My energy is making a comeback, and I'm feeling wonderful. Jolly Ranchers and Ginger Ale help out when my morning sickness hits. This morning- our daughter enjoyed dancing around. Of course, she asked if I'd dance with her. We boogied to one of her singing-along CDs.- I cherish moments like these.  I've been blending smoothies.//Simple ones with fruit. This one included raspberries and milk.  Bath time- Our daughter enjoys her bath time storybooks.  Lunchtime- I made grilled cheese, with ham. -Simple and delicious. Sneaky mom spying through the kitchen window watching our pug soak up some sun. Food coloring/water-She's creating art.  My husband was born in Massachusetts, he mentioned Fluffernutter to a co-worker sometime back. This co-worker contacted one of his friends in Boston, who eventually sent him a huge box of this yummy goodness.  My husband arrived ...

Home

Home is where- Giggles are heard, coffee is brewing, and time is spent with family. Home is where toys are scattered, tickles are given, and hugs and kisses are necessary.  Home is where memories are created, meals are prepared, and boo-boos are kissed, by mommy and daddy. Home is where-Silly faces are made, gardening is done, and learning is fun!  Home is where we kick up our feet after a long day and enjoy these simple, lovable moments. Our home is filled with love, and yes it can sometimes get a little chaotic...but boy I do love my time at home with my family. Home is where I feel most comfortable. “What I love most about my home is who I share it with.”  ―  Tad Carpenter Our little one's journal.  Korean fried rice. Indoor camping. :) Preparing pizza.
