Quiet, peaceful days

This particular day, it was quiet. The weather was cool and the sun hid behind the clouds. This day was great for sitting out at the park. It was a very quiet, peaceful outing. We made our way out to the park. -Kids were playing soccer, and volleyball and adults were grilling under the gazebo.

We sat under a tree and set our blanket up. Our daughter ran in circles, exploring and waving at other children. Eventually, she ran around and played tag with this little boy off in the distance. My husband joined them.  They built castles and forts in the sand.
I stayed back. Relaxing and catching up on some reading. It was nice. I took my sandals off. What a relief, for my pregnant feet. Surprisingly they aren't so swollen, just really uncomfortable these days.

After reading, I had time to reflect on a few things. Clearing my thoughts and taking in the fresh air.-It was so peaceful. Days like this come and go. When we are able to enjoy days like this particular day, we cherish them. On this day, it was quiet and peaceful.  – I enjoyed my time with my family. Reflecting on life and excited for new beginnings.

Welcome new readers and followers. I'm so happy to have you all here. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend with your loved ones. :)

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...

It is infused with spices and sweetness, making it ideal for those battling a cold or anyone who just wants to relax with a nice cup of tea. Below, I will share how I prepare this simple tea. Ingredients   -  1 sliced orange      Be sure to wash the orange before slicing. I used an organic fruit and vegetable wash, but you can make your own if you don't have it.   - 1  tablespoon of mulling spice    I used the Spice Islands mulling kit.   -  1 infuser ball    - 1 tea bag      For this recipe, I used one BIGELOW Lemon Ginger Herbal Tea bag.   -  1 teaspoon of honey    You can adjust the amount based on your preferred level of sweetness.
