10 Ways To Decorate Using Artificial Plants

1. Add plants on a floating shelf. Whether you add a simple shelf or a floating shelf with decorative brackets, adding plants to these shelves can bring a simple decorative touch to any space.

2. Create a plant space in your home where you can get the most natural lighting.

3. Use coffee cups, tea cups, or even espresso cups. You can add tiny plants to these cups and set them out in your kitchen. You can choose bright colors to create a pop of color.

4. Add your artificial plants to pots with creative designs. You can choose colorful, creative patterns, or even solid color pots. Select a style that best fits your home decor.

5. Use decorative woven baskets to place your plants in.

6. Use small plants to place them on bookshelves. You can add them between books or at the end of your books.

7. Use mini pots in your design.

8. Hang artificial hanging vines from shelves. Choose an area in any room or multiple rooms, and create a shelf that has some sort of hanging vine. Place it on the shelf and add other decor items to create a clean look that easily flows.

9. Add taller artificial plants near your front entrance. You can add a taller plant near the entryway so that it is one of the first things you see when you enter through your front door. If you have an entry table, you can also add a plant there as well.

10. Create a mini plant shelf in your kitchen. You can actually create a shelf using just a few materials. On this shelf, you can add mini pots, decorative pattern pots, or whatever it is that you think will fit into your kitchen design.

  1. Going down to my finished basement we have "window box type" holders on either side and have had them filled with artificial flowers for years. They are a mix of taller flowers and those that hang down in vine form as well over the sides. Certainly easier to maintain than real flowers though they do require some washing every now and then to get rid of the dust. I like the coffee cup ideas as well!

    1. Scott, thank you for stopping by. I love the window box idea. I actually have a few artificial plants around my shed outside. -Of course I went with ones that looked more realistic since they would be outside. And I agree they are much easier to care for. Yes you have to still wash them to get rid of any dust build up. Again, thank you for stopping by.

  2. Thanks for the idea.We do have a few artificial plants in our house but most are natural plants. Probably I will start investing more on the artificial ones from now for the ease of maintaining compared to the real ones.

  5. There are so many artificial plants that look SO REAL! I love plants and flowers but unfortunately my lifestyle doesn't really allow me to keep and maintain living plants. These are great, I need to try and recreate some of these ideas.

  6. I LOVE the variety that artificial plants allow. On one hand, you have the super lifelike plants that allow people who may have a tendency to kill anything living to create a 'green space' in their home. On the other hand, it opens the door to bringing in plants that you wouldn't otherwise be able to keep. There are some GORGEOUS tropical plants that would never survive in our climate!

  7. Given that taking care of plants can be a lot of work, I would opt to go the route you have shown here. I really love how realistic some of these artificial plants look. I just tend to have a problem with the dust that they collect. It's kind of hard to dust all the leaves.

    1. Alexandra, yes I make sure that when I am dusting in my home that I go around and wipe the plants down as well. I've noticed even when I had read plants I had to still go around and wipe the leaves down. But I can see that becoming a pain for some people. Thank you for stopping by.

  8. I love the idea of artificial plants - look beautiful and fresh and there's no chance of them dying! :P I have a few artificial succulents in colourful small pots on the table that look beautiful.

  9. I have such a love hate relationship with artificial plants. I love that that don't die but I also want the "real" plants. Maybe I just need to figure out a happy medium between the two :)

    1. Laura, I can understand that. I used to think, "Oh boy, I'll have to dust artificial plants," but I realized that's true for real plants, too. It's strange; my flower garden outside does so well, but the minute I try to get an indoor plant to survive, it's over, haha.

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...

Keeping Blogging Positive: The Do’s and Don’ts of Community Support

The Do’s and Don’ts in a Blogging Community If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of blogging, it’s that the community can be one of the best parts of the whole experience — when we’re actually supporting each other. Blogging isn’t just hitting publish and hoping someone reads it. It’s connecting, showing up for one another, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to share their voice. But let’s be honest: not every corner of the blogging world feels that way. Sometimes people forget that behind every blog is a real person doing their best. So I wanted to put together a simple, down‑to‑earth list of do’s and don’ts — the things that genuinely help build a positive blogging community, and the things that… well, don’t. Nothing complicated, nothing dramatic. Just the kind of common‑sense, supportive habits that make blogging more enjoyable for all of us.
