  3. Dance parties are my favorite at any time. While we don't celebrate Halloween, the activities you mention are great for any time at home. I will be noting some of them down to do with the kids.

  4. Great list. We plan on playing the games at home and dress up. There is a big chance we also do an online holiday spirit d&d like game.

  6. I can't wait to grab a pumpkin and do some pumpkin carving. Last year, we held a fundraiser at my house on Halloween night where the community was encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items for the local food bank while out trick or treating. To help decorate, we ended up carving 30 pumpkins that were placed all over my yard. It was great!

  7. Great ideas! Baking an autumn-themed treat and then eating it while watching one of those movies sounds heavenly. Paint along videos are a great idea, too - I didn't realise they existed but it makes a lot of sense.

  9. I love halloween for the movies! Every year my husband and I make it a point to watch Hocus Pocus, The Addams Family, and Charlie Brown. My husband is also a small child at heart, so every time he goes to the grocery store, he brings home candy for himself. I think we end up with bags of candy for a month or two after. I've been contemplating pumpkin carving this year as well.

Colorful Summer Flower: Recycled Paper Towel DIY

Looking to bring a little sunshine into your space without visiting the craft store? This whimsical summer flower decoration makes great use of what you already have—think beads, pom poms, a humble paper towel tube, and a splash of acrylic paint. Bonus: it’s the perfect way to reuse an old frame and welcome summer in style! What You’ll Need: 1 paper towel tube (emptied, of course!) Acrylic paint (I chose a deeper pink) Craft pom poms (yellow makes a great center!) Assorted beads (medium for the stem, smaller for embellishing the petals) Foam letters (for your summer message) A reused frame (square or any shape of your choice) Scissors Hot glue gun Creating your summer flower decoration Cut the Tube and Shape the Petals :  Start by cutting the paper towel tube into four evenly-sized sections. Each section will serve as a petal. You should be left with four rings. Next, flatten each ring, then gently reshape it to form soft ovals. These will mimic delicate flower...

From Trash to Treasure: DIY Faux Stained Glass Garden Decor

Today, I’m so excited to share a heart-centered project that turns a simple household item into an elevated piece of garden art. We are transforming a basic plastic plate into a vibrant, faux stained glass sun-catcher that sparkles in the sun. This project perfectly captures the "treasure from trash" philosophy, proving that you don’t need expensive materials to create something beautiful for your outdoor space. Video tutorial coming soon Materials for Your Garden Treasure Clear Plastic Plate: Start with a basic household item ready for upcycling.  Black Glass Paint: This will be used to trace your intricate floral design.  Transparent Glass Paints: I chose a palette of soft lavender, pink, and emerald green for a natural look.  Heat Tool: This is essential for setting your paint layers quickly so you can keep creating.  Hanging Tools: You can use a hole punch, a soldering iron, or even a hot glue gun, depending on your preference.
