Spring Blossoms: Showcasing Flowers in Upcycled Tissue Tube Holder

Are you about to throw away an empty tissue box? Wait a minute! Join me in a fun and eco-friendly craft project where we'll transform it into a beautiful display for your favorite Spring flowers. We'll be using artificial flowers, but the best part about this project is that we will reuse an item instead of throwing it out. This is a simple upcycling craft that requires just a few materials. Let's create a simple design using the tissue box and showcase those lovely Spring flowers.

Spring blossoms upcycled tissue tube holder

Materials

  • One tissue box or tissue tube (I'm using the Kleenex canister style) We will be creating a faux pot
  • Artificial spring flowers
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Optional-Wooden bunnies (Purchased at Dollar Tree)
  • Mod Podge
  • Decorative tissue paper
  • Hot glue
  • One craft knife- This tool is for cutting tissue tubes. If using a tissue box, there is no need for a craft knife.
  • Scissors
  • Foam block
Materials-decorative tissue paper, wooden bunnies, faux floral and tissue tube

Cutting the tube
If you're using a tissue tube, start by taking a craft knife and removing a portion of the tube. If you want a shorter faux pot, remove the top portion of the tube with the craft knife. If you want a taller design, leave the tube as it is. If you're using a tissue box, there's no need to use a craft knife.

Applying paint
After deciding on the size and removing the unused section, take your paint and combine pink with white. Use a paintbrush to paint the faux pot and apply two coats to give it complete coverage. Use a blow dryer to help dry the paint.

Applying paint and Mod Podge
Next, add white acrylic paint to four of the wooden bunnies. Then, cut sections of decorative tissue paper into flowers and leaves and set them aside. Use Mod Podge and a paintbrush to add the decorative pieces to each bunny.

Attaching bunnies to the faux pot
Take each bunny and add them around the faux pot using hot glue. Then, add the round foam block to the faux pot and precut artificial flowers. If needed, use floral cutters to cut the flowers to the appropriate size before adding them to the floral block.

That completes your upcycled spring floral display. It's amazing what we can create with a little upcycling! This is an adorable addition to a spring-themed tiered tray or other spring home decorations.

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...

Keeping Blogging Positive: The Do’s and Don’ts of Community Support

The Do’s and Don’ts in a Blogging Community If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of blogging, it’s that the community can be one of the best parts of the whole experience — when we’re actually supporting each other. Blogging isn’t just hitting publish and hoping someone reads it. It’s connecting, showing up for one another, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to share their voice. But let’s be honest: not every corner of the blogging world feels that way. Sometimes people forget that behind every blog is a real person doing their best. So I wanted to put together a simple, down‑to‑earth list of do’s and don’ts — the things that genuinely help build a positive blogging community, and the things that… well, don’t. Nothing complicated, nothing dramatic. Just the kind of common‑sense, supportive habits that make blogging more enjoyable for all of us. The Do’s: How We Can Lift Each Other Up Do show support in ways that feel natural to you Support doesn’t have to b...
