Our adventures together

Oh, how lovely it is to spend time with the ones you love. :) Like many other's I'm sad to see the weekend come to an end so quickly. I am happy to say though that our weekend was absolutely wonderful.

Friday, my daughter and I enjoyed a play indoor picnic. She brought along her teddy bear, and elephant. We set out some play food, and enjoyed some tunes on the radio. We had carrots, apples, oh and of course cookies! :) We danced a little, and my daughter made sure I was eating by feeding me. (hehe) I love her! Of course after our play picnic, we enjoyed some real apples and some peanut butter., along with some pretzels.

This weekend we enjoyed some time out in the sun. We went to an event at the park, and our daughter enjoyed some time playing soccer with the soccer buddies group. Of course while out we stopped off at Dutch Bros. Coffee (they are just so friendly) I picked up a green tea lemonade. It was perfect for quenching my thirst after being out in this warm weather.

While shopping at Lowes, a lady at the register handed our daughter some flowers. They had fallen off of  plants they had displayed in the front of the store. (It was pretty windy out) They were in the process of bringing all the plants inside. The drive home our daughter would not let go of her flowers. Once we arrived home, I put her flowers in my little chick pot, and set them on the windowsill in the kitchen.

Saturday, we took out a few board games. We played Chutes and Ladders. (Our daughter is not yet old enough for this game, so my husband and I played a round of it. :)
We just recently bought a Dr. Seuss game from Target (It was on their clearance rack)
The game is pretty fun, and very interactive. You pull out three cards-1,2,3, once you pull your cards you do what it says. Example-"Crawl under the thing-a-ma-stick with the cake on top of your head". Such a fun game, for both parents and little ones!

We did some more rock painting. My husband decided to paint his rock with a bad hair day (saying it was him) I of course painted another love rock. Our daughter usually combines colors and her rocks are always so pretty. I put them out on the back porch near our miniature water fountain.

Today we did our usual Sunday pancake breakfast, and later we plan on going on a family hike.
How was your weekend? I'd love to hear about it! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend with your love ones.

  3. Hi Stephanie,
Sounds like a fun weekend. That Dr. Seuss game sounds fun and I love painted rocks. We just came home from a too filling Sunday spaghetti lunch and then a day at the park chasing balloons as the air whizzed out of them. Looking forward to another blog week with you.

If you love finding new DIY ideas and learning from other bloggers, you’re in the perfect spot! We just picked up our youngest daughter from summer camp yesterday. She had so much fun and met new people. The drive to her camp was beautiful.
