Simple Refreshing Lemon Lip Scrub

Image showing a sliced lemon

Hand holding up a lemon

Start by gently washing your lemon, using an organic fruit wash if possible. Then, use a grater to shave the rind off the lemon. Take a small bowl and mix the shaved lemon rinds with about a teaspoon of sugar.

Add a teaspoon of coconut oil and squeeze in a little lemon juice. Mix everything together and put it in a small jar with an airtight lid. A mini jam jar works well for this. Keep the jar in a cool place or in the refrigerator to make the application cool when you use it.

When using the lip scrub, gently apply a small amount to your lips and rub it in, making sure to cover all dry spots.

After using the scrub, apply a lip balm to help with dryness. You can keep the lip scrub for about a week, but always make sure to store it in a cool place or in the refrigerator. This lip scrub is simple, refreshing, and smells amazing!

  6. My husband and I just did foot soaks/scrubs and a face mask earlier! With no internet, it just made sense to take a bit of time and pamper our skin. This lip scrub sounds like a perfect addition the next time we do it. I have all of the ingredients to make it too!
