  3. I saw the eclipse at about 85%; it was still amazing! My husband and s-i-l drove 6 hours to see it in its totality. If I had been available to go with them, I would have loved it. I'm not sure I'll still be around for the next full eclipse in the States. ha.

Thanks for featuring my post on handwriting notes! It's something I ned to remind myself to do more often.

I would have loved to travel and see it in its totality, but I imagine the traffic would have been a nightmare. Thank you for sharing your post with us, we enjoyed it. Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Thanks for hosting each week! No eclipse for us as in Nevada too far north and west--cloudy that day anyway lol. Oh, I wasn't online much last week--I hope your daughter had a fantastic birthday and has a wonderful year! I have such (mostly) fond memories of being a teenager.

It was supposed to be cloudy during the eclipse, but luckily it passed over us. The teen years were some of the best years!

  7. It's such a nice gesture, Stephanie, to visit each post and leave comments. It was very exciting to be featured on your lovely link party this week. "Gathering Baskets" have been in my family a long time and I remember my Grandmother using them in her garden. We also saw the eclipse. It was about 80% on our tea and my husband even took some really great photos. Thanks for making the link party available each week. Have a wonderful week.

DIY Tea Tin Planter for Sweet Mint

Today’s tiny DIY win: turning an empty lemon‑ginger tea tin into a planter for a sweet mint plant that needed some love. I cleaned the tin, added drainage, and nestled the mint inside. It instantly brightened up the space — the colors on the tin and the fresh green leaves look so sweet together. I love giving everyday items a second life, especially when they end up this cute. Quick Video Tutorial  I began this little project by cleaning out an empty metal tea container that I had saved. It still held a soft scent of lemon and ginger, and I loved the idea of giving it a second life. Once I washed and dried it, the container felt ready for a new purpose.   Next, I used a finishing nail and a hammer to create a few drainage holes in the bottom of the tin. Since metal containers don’t have natural drainage, this step helps keep the roots healthy and prevents the soil from becoming soggy. Having prepared the container, I carefully removed the sweet mint from its original pot. The ...

Last week, we celebrated my husband's birthday, and I made an ice cream cake for the occasion. While we were shopping, our youngest daughter found a delicious blend of coffee and cookies and cream ice cream.  It was definitely a hit! Since my husband loves coffee, the combination of coffee flavor with cookies and cream was just perfect. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?   As always, we had wonderful posts shared at last week's party. I took the time to visit every single post, and I always enjoy connecting with all of you. Colorful Summer Flower: Recycled Paper Towel DIY

Looking to bring a little sunshine into your space without visiting the craft store? This whimsical summer flower decoration makes great use of what you already have—think beads, pom poms, a humble paper towel tube, and a splash of acrylic paint. Bonus: it’s the perfect way to reuse an old frame and welcome summer in style! What You’ll Need: 1 paper towel tube (emptied, of course!) Acrylic paint (I chose a deeper pink) Craft pom poms (yellow makes a great center!) Assorted beads (medium for the stem, smaller for embellishing the petals) Foam letters (for your summer message) A reused frame (square or any shape of your choice) Scissors Hot glue gun Creating your summer flower decoration Cut the Tube and Shape the Petals :  Start by cutting the paper towel tube into four evenly-sized sections. Each section will serve as a petal. You should be left with four rings. Next, flatten each ring, then gently reshape it to form soft ovals. These will mimic delicate flower...

Welcome to The Crazy Little Love Birds Link Party #145! I’m so happy you’re here! This is a warm and friendly gathering where you can share your amazing ideas—whether it's tasty recipes, fun family activities, creative crafts, home projects, or any other joyful inspirations. If you love finding new DIY ideas and learning from other bloggers, you’re in the perfect spot! Happy Friday! I hope you are all doing well. This week was a little rough. It started with my husband having a cough, sore throat, sneezing, and whole-body aches. Of course, that was passed on to the rest of us, but we have been so fortunate to just have a sore throat. This calls for plenty of hydration, vitamin C, and occasional medication. I hope you all had a nice week. Just yesterday, the weather reached 102 degrees! It definitely was hot out. Now, onto the party, we have some wonderful featured posts to share this week. Thank you to everyone who joined last week, and if you are new here, welcome! We're so gl...

Welcome to The Crazy Little Love Birds Link Party #89! This party provides a platform for sharing inspiring content such as recipes, family-friendly blog posts, crafts, home decor, and other uplifting  ideas. Hello everyone! I hope all is well. If you celebrated Mother's Day, I hope it was lovely. How was your week?  Our week was busy.  We had doctor appointments, finals at school, and my husband has been working on a backyard project.  I've included a collage of our week.  My youngest used my phone camera to take pictures of our blooming clematis vines—one is purple, and the other is deep pink.  My husband received a guitar from his boss at work. He now has this one along with his bass guitar.  I've only seen one hummingbird at our feeders. They're so quick; there may be more.  I've been enjoying my time out on the back covered porch. I added a few new outdoor curtains to the space.  My youngest and my husband made me homemade apple bread on...
