Cloth diaper days

We're enjoying our cloth diaper journey. It's all new to us. But we're getting the hang of it. I'm still pretty busy with nursing our little one and our oldest demanding I stop feeding her sister to play with her more! :) But now we are on a better schedule where my time with them is equally shared. What we're using : Cloth inserts G diaper pants Bum genius cloth sprayer Waterproof pail liner Wet/dry bag Spray pal splatter shield  For our homemade wipes: GroVia  -Reusable cloth diaper wipes Cj's butter cleaner (Sweet orange scent) When making our wipes. We make just enough for the day. I don't want it sitting for too long and I rather wash them when I am washing the cloth inserts. I bought 3 packets worth. -Making sure I had more than enough. When we're out and about I use the wet/dry bag. I place soiled diapers into the wet section and dry diapers remain in the zipped dry section. ...

Hello November. Lately

It's way cooler now. - There's a gentle breeze that fills the air. One might even say it's colder out in the evenings. Honestly, I've always enjoyed cooler weather. We're all wearing thicker coats and the little ones wear their mittens and fuzzy little hats. I've set out our snow shovels and ice scrapers. - I'm not thrilled about it, but I know soon enough we'll get some use out of it. I've cleared out my tomato plants and picked the rest of my peppers to bring in. - I'll probably add them in when we make our homemade salsa. -Or maybe even use them to spice up our tacos. Lately, I have really enjoyed blueberries. -Blueberry crumbles, blueberry crepes, blueberry sauce topped on ice cream. I’m sure you get the point!  When the air is warmer, we spend our time playing at the park. -Honestly, I really enjoy walks during this time of year. In our home, I've set out a few fall decorations. -One that is ...

Our week.

This week: -We had a special play date. Playtime and a Halloween craft are included. My oldest was thrilled to have her friend over. They played, worked on a craft, and ate some delicious blueberry muffins made by my friend. -Worked on decorating our pumpkins. This year instead of carving pumpkins we decorated one and dressed up the other.  It was such a fun time. -Headed to the library. We checked out some books and attended storytime. My oldest danced and played with a few other kids. I take this time and chit-chat with a few other moms. -Ah, it's nice. -We made pumpkin cookies. -Of course, we did, it's fall time! ;)  -I purchased a few more cloth inserts for my cloth diapers. -So far I am absolutely loving this whole cloth diaper experience. - I'll have to post more about it soon!  -Found a mom and baby yoga video on youtube.-  Mum &Baby Yoga . Very cute video. My little one seemed to enjoy the gentl...

Autumn- Tea and coffee for two

I really enjoy this time of the year. The air is cool and sweaters are being worn. I've started to gather mittens and scarves. Preparing us for colder weather. I enjoy making apple cider and having it go through the day in the slow cooker. -It smells amazing! We enjoy walks out, a gentle breeze in the air, and the sound of the leaves gently falling to the ground. -We're all very happy and content these days.  I just recently had the pleasure to enjoy a tea/coffee date with our oldest daughter. Of course, it was pretend play. She wanted to be just like mommy and daddy and use the real stuff. I took a used k-cup and cut open the top. We  Used the coffee grinds from that and created our own brew system. Meanwhile, we brewed some tea. I really enjoy playtime with her. We take this time to explore, talk and spend that quality mommy/daughter time together.  As always our time spent together was wonderful.- I absolutely enjoy times like this. How are you spendin...

Morning.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.  - Marcus Aurelius Morning. Home. Peaceful. Happy. Together. Playful. Baking.  Laundry. Bonding. Dancing. I absolutely love morning time. This morning... I woke up feeling refreshed, even after an early morning nursing session. Opening up each window and making myself a hot drink. I begin a load of laundry and set out my ingredients for baking. The little ones are still sleeping.  During this time, I also set out some learning materials for our oldest. Music, books, puppets, and a few other things she enjoys. She's finally up. I've managed to get a lot done. The baby is still sleeping. We take this time and enjoy our time together. This morning has treated us well.
