Easy Dollar Tree Christmas Floral Tray Centerpiece

Create a stunning and affordable Christmas centerpiece using Dollar Tree items. This easy DIY project involves a decorative tray and beautiful floral arrangements that will add festive charm to your holiday decor.

Red Christmas floral tray centerpiece with candle display, church ornament, and reindeer ornament

Hello! I’m excited to help you create a beautiful Christmas floral tray centerpiece. This craft is perfect for beginners and is simple to create. Most of the materials you’ll need can be found at your local Dollar Tree store.

Materials such as faux floral, red tray, hot glue, and reindeer

To create a Christmas floral tray centerpiece, you will need the following materials:
  • One rectangle tray (The Dollar Tree has these labeled as Charger plates)
  • One foam block 1.9 in x 3.9 in x 11.9 in (You can purchase this at Walmart or Dollar Tree)
  • Floral (I used about six bunches of holiday floral, a mix between floral and glitter pinecones)
  • One frosted candle holder
  • One mini tealight LED battery-operated candle
  • Variety of ornaments - You can use any for your design (I am using one reindeer and one Church ornament)
  • Hot glue
  • Wire cutters

Creating the centerpiece

Begin by taking your floral and wire cutters.  Use your wire cutters to cut your floral and pinecones. When cutting, you will want to leave some of the stems. Once you have your floral cut, start adding it to your foam block.

Gently push your stem through the foam block. Be sure you work your way around the front, sides, and back of the block.  Leave the top of the block clear of any flowers and pinecones.

Once you have completely filled the foam block with your floral, flip your tray over and begin to apply a generous amount of hot glue to the bottom side of the tray. This will secure everything together.

After you have applied your hot glue, flip your tray over, and press it down over the top section of the foam block. When I first attempted this project, I started with the tray and foam glued together. I eventually separated the two and decided to add my floral onto my foam block before gluing my tray to my foam block. It made things easier for me.

Decorating your Tray

After gluing your tray to your block, you can now add your decorations. I went ahead and applied a small amount of hot glue on the bottom of each ornament.  Next, take your candleholder and add your LED candle to your candleholder.  You can also add a small bow to your candleholder. This is completely optional.

Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...

Lately: Things That Have Made My Heart Happy

Lately, I’ve been holding onto the small things—the gentle, unexpected moments that slip in between the busy ones and remind me how much beauty there is in simply being here, together. We’re almost stepping into April, and even though this month has brought its share of mishaps and little detours, it has also offered us so many soft, shining memories. The kind that settle in quietly and stay. These are the moments that have made my heart happy… Welcoming Spring With Fresh Flowers One morning at the market, I picked up a small bundle of spring flowers—nothing extravagant, just simple blooms in soft colors that felt like a whisper of the season ahead. Bringing them home and placing them on the table instantly brightened the whole space. It felt like inviting spring inside, letting a little bit of newness and hope settle into our everyday rhythm. Sunsets That Slow the World Down Evening after evening, the sky has been putting on a show—warm gold melting into rose, fading into deep violet....

Keeping Blogging Positive: The Do’s and Don’ts of Community Support

The Do’s and Don’ts in a Blogging Community If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of blogging, it’s that the community can be one of the best parts of the whole experience — when we’re actually supporting each other. Blogging isn’t just hitting publish and hoping someone reads it. It’s connecting, showing up for one another, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to share their voice. But let’s be honest: not every corner of the blogging world feels that way. Sometimes people forget that behind every blog is a real person doing their best. So I wanted to put together a simple, down‑to‑earth list of do’s and don’ts — the things that genuinely help build a positive blogging community, and the things that… well, don’t. Nothing complicated, nothing dramatic. Just the kind of common‑sense, supportive habits that make blogging more enjoyable for all of us. The Do’s: How We Can Lift Each Other Up Do show support in ways that feel natural to you Support doesn’t have to b...
