Easy Fall Framed Chalkboard Decoration

Today, I'd love to share with you a simple and quick way to decorate a wooden chalkboard. It's a cute and useful accessory for jotting down to-do lists, reminders, or just doodling. It's a great DIY project that can add a touch of warmth and coziness to your home decor.

Materials such as faux fall leaves, floral, framed chalkboard, and floral cutters

Materials
  • Faux Fall floral
  • Floral cutters
  • One framed chalkboard-I purchased mine at Dollar Tree
  • Acrylic paint
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Twine

Applying paint to a framed chalkboard

Chalkboard and acrylic paint on table

Pick your acrylic paint and apply it to the frame of your chalkboard using a paintbrush. I went with a color called "pumpkin" because I'm a bit obsessed with it.

Next, use your floral cutters to remove the stems from your faux flowers. This makes it easier to attach them to the chalkboard frame. Once the stems are removed, attach the flowers to the wooden frame by applying some hot glue to the back of each flower. I added some faux fall leaves and greenery to give it a more autumnal vibe.

If you want to add a little extra touch, you can also include a twine bow to your display. I had some extra twine lying around, and I thought it would be a nice addition to my chalkboard display.

That's it! Your fall wooden chalkboard display is now complete. Wasn't that easy? I got my framed chalkboard from Dollar Tree, but you can also create your own design by using a mini chalkboard without the frame. You can also add your own frame by using smaller wood sections or craft sticks for a customized look.

Lastly, take some chalk and add a cute message to your board. Thank you so much for stopping by. See you soon!

    1. Thank you, Cara! I have seen some people paint a wall in their house using chalkboard paint and put a pretty border around it. It looks very pretty. Succulent Centerpiece using Dollar Tree Items

Looking to add some greenery to your space?  Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to create a quick and simple succulent display using a round baking pan from Dollar Tree. I completed this craft a while ago, but forgot to share it with you. It's an easy project, and all the materials—except for the spray paint—were purchased at Dollar Tree. You can make this lovely decoration in just 10 minutes. Let’s get started on this succulent decoration together! Materials -One baking pan -Spray paint -Stones/rocks -Crushed glass -Artificial succulents -One glass candle holder Start by applying spray paint to the baking pan. I had a bronze color from a previous project, and it would be a great opportunity to use it again. When applying spray paint, make sure to cover the surrounding area and ensure that the space is well-ventilated.  Once you have painted the pan, allow the paint to dry. I used a heating tool to speed up the drying process, but if you prefer, you can let it air dry, which m...

Keeping Blogging Positive: The Do’s and Don’ts of Community Support

The Do’s and Don’ts in a Blogging Community If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years of blogging, it’s that the community can be one of the best parts of the whole experience — when we’re actually supporting each other. Blogging isn’t just hitting publish and hoping someone reads it. It’s connecting, showing up for one another, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome to share their voice. But let’s be honest: not every corner of the blogging world feels that way. Sometimes people forget that behind every blog is a real person doing their best. So I wanted to put together a simple, down‑to‑earth list of do’s and don’ts — the things that genuinely help build a positive blogging community, and the things that… well, don’t. Nothing complicated, nothing dramatic. Just the kind of common‑sense, supportive habits that make blogging more enjoyable for all of us. The Do’s: How We Can Lift Each Other Up Do show support in ways that feel natural to you Support doesn’t have to b...

Lately: Things That Have Made My Heart Happy

Lately, I’ve been holding onto the small things—the gentle, unexpected moments that slip in between the busy ones and remind me how much beauty there is in simply being here, together. We’re almost stepping into April, and even though this month has brought its share of mishaps and little detours, it has also offered us so many soft, shining memories. The kind that settle in quietly and stay. These are the moments that have made my heart happy… Welcoming Spring With Fresh Flowers One morning at the market, I picked up a small bundle of spring flowers—nothing extravagant, just simple blooms in soft colors that felt like a whisper of the season ahead. Bringing them home and placing them on the table instantly brightened the whole space. It felt like inviting spring inside, letting a little bit of newness and hope settle into our everyday rhythm. Sunsets That Slow the World Down Evening after evening, the sky has been putting on a show—warm gold melting into rose, fading into deep violet....
